Current Periodicals Moved

The current periodicals collection has been temporarily removed from the third floor to allow for the cleaning, repair, and re-labeling of shelves. Please ask at the Circulation Desk to get assistance from staff in retrieving the periodicals from storage.

Safari Now Available


Through a partnership between Wilson Library and the UMR Information Technology Department, O'Reilly Media's Safari Bookshelf is now available and accessible for distance users. Simply follow the link above from anywhere in the world to access Safari; our proxy server will ask you to authenticate if you are not within the UMR domain.

Safari Bookshelf provides electronic editions of titles for information
technology and programming professionals. Titles published in the last three years will be available through Safari. Users can browse books in the collection by category or conduct searches for specific information across all of the books in the Safari library.

Library Acquires New Resources for Teaching

Wilson Library recently partnered with the Center for Educational Research and Innovation (CERTI) to provide UMR's administrators and faculty with resources related to professional development and the principles and methods of instruction. Among the new resources are guides for the development of academic programs, as well as materials discussing classroom techniques and strategies. These new books join the library's collection of journals related to education, including Education Digest, Journal of Professional Issues in Engineering Education and Practice, and Chronicle of Higher Education.
