The MERLIN catalog now has a new look, thanks to the diligent work of many librarians in the University of Missouri system. We hope that you find this new interface both easy on the eyes and more useful than ever before.

Ross Haslhorst, the manager of the VCC at UMR recently returned back from a month-long visit to China. He has taken hundreds of photographs and will be sharing them with the campus community through a series of 30 minute "brown bag" talks.
The lectures will begin on Thursday, June 23 at 11:30 AM and will continue each week for a total of 5 weeks. Each week will highlight a different city in China:
June 23rd. subject: Beijing - Preparing for the Olympics
June 30 subject: Xi'an - The 8th. Wonder of the World - the Terra-cotta Warriors
July 7 subject: National Forest Park -- China's "Grand Canyon"
July 14 subject: Fenghuang village -- Lost in Time
July 21 subject: Hangzhou -- the Honeymoon City of China
All of the presentations will be held in the classroom at the UMR Wilson Library.

There are new minutes posted from the Task Force Meeting that were posted today (Number 16). You can find them at the task force website.
This month, the display cases in the library's lobby feature battle miniatures in scenes from Agincourt and Antietam. The miniatures were provided by Nick Knight, professor emeritus in Engish, to tie in with his series of lectures on battle literature. The lectures are held from 12 to 1, Monday through Friday, continuing throughout the month of June. Come in and take a look!
