The newest edition of Journal Citation Reports, providing impact factors for several high-profile journals, is now available in the library.
Elsevier, the publisher behind Scopus and the ScienceDirect journals, has informed us that they will experience a planned service outage from 1:30 PM through 9 PM on Saturday, August 29.

Ex Libris, the vendor powering several library services, will be down from 10 PM on Friday, August 28, through 6 AM on Saturday, August 29.
Services affected will include the Metalib metasearch enginer, the A-Z Electronic Journals list, and the SFX service connecting database citations to full-text articles.

Beginning September 1, all access to Compendex will be through Elsevier's Engineering Village platform. Access through Ovid will no longer be available.
This change should be of great benefit to the Missouri S&T community. With this change, we now provide access from 1884 to the present through a unified interface; before we had no access to records from the 1970s, and access was split across two different providers.

Due to budget shortfalls at the UM system level, the Inspec database subscription has been cancelled. Missouri S&T users will no longer have access to the resource after August 31, 2009. If you have any questions, please contact Maggie Trish at trishm@mst.edu or call 341-4014.
